Under his hat
ZAZ Festival, Tel Aviv
September 2007I stood beside a table on which there was a CD player, a hat, a piece of glass in a frame and a small double-sided mirror. This performance was in three short parts:
- I approached individuals and held the mirror between myself and the viewer at eye level.
- I put on the hat and smoked a pipe whilst listening to a recording of the poet, Peter Armstrong, reading his own poetry.
- I put out the pipe, turned off the player and still wearing the hat picked up the framed glass and approached individuals holding the frame at eye level again. I made my way through the viewers until I could leave the space.
