Wearing a pair of men’s trousers with my head and upper body obscured by a black cloth sack, I climbed a ladder to the top, discarded the trousers and released the top of the sack so that it fell from my head and became a long skirt. With my head still covered with a black opaque veil, I descended the ladder and sat with my back to the audience, facing a mirror. Lifting the veil I revealed my whitened face in the mirror and applied red lipstick. The final action was me picking up the mirror and using it to look at the viewers.
