The action started with recording my footsteps whilst walking by the river in Carlisle. It continued as a performance in Harald Smykla’s “Gorf Castle and drawing room” in Area 10, London, where he invited me to perform wearing his “drawing sandals”. I walked to the back of the space wearing the sandals and headphones whilst recording and listening to my footsteps. When there I the switched headphones into the mini disc recorder that was playing the sound of my footsteps by the river. I then invited people to wear sandals and headphones and go through the process with me walking alongside.
